8 Days / 7 Nights This journey will take you through Chile's capital city of Santiago, and on to Easter Island. This remote place in the middle of the South Pacific, is famous for its numerous Moai stone statues that adorn the entire coastline. It is located 2,200 miles west of continental Chile. Here you will visit numerous volcanoes like the Ranu Kau and Ranu Raraku volcanoes, and see many of the island's intriguing statues.

DAY 1
Santiago
Assistance at your arrival
to Santiago Airport and transfer to your hotel. There you will receive a
briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services included.

DAY 2
Santiago
Half-Day City tour of
Santiago. This tour includes a visit through the historic, commercial
and residential areas of the city. We will visit the Government Palace
"La Moneda", the historic center and its Main Plaza, the Cathedral, the
Main Post Office, the Municipality, and more. We will then pass through
the principal avenue of the city to see "La Alameda", the Forestal Park,
the San Cristobal mount, and the bohemian neighborhood of Bellavista.
Later on, we will continue to the residential and modern commercial
areas, located where the Andean mountain chain begins. New neighborhoods
like Santa Maria de Manquehue, Las Condes and Vitacura blend in with the
areas of advanced architecture like Barrio el Golf.
Return to Hotel and rest of day at leisure in Santiago.

DAY 3
Easter Island
Transfer to Santiago Airport
for flight to
Easter Island.
Reception at the airport complete with Polynesian Flower Necklaces for
you to wear. Transfer to selected hotel.

DAY 4
Easter Island
Full-Day tour along the Moai
route, with a picnic lunch included. We visit Vaihu, an area surrounded
by enormous statues which have fallen face down; the ruins of Akahanga,
which are in their original condition and where the first king of the
island was buried. Further along, we see the Rano Raraku volcano,
situated close to the southern shore of the island.
We also visit the Poike Volcano, with the most spectacular crater in the
area. Easter Island's early inhabitants carved the giant statues from
the volcano's quarry. Here we can see the different stages in the
construction of the Moai, the biggest of which still remains at the base
of the quarry and which are more than 60 feet long, weighing just under
200 tons. We carry on towards the beautiful beach of Anakena, where we
will see Ahu Tongariki, one of the biggest Moai on the island.
Return to the hotel.

DAY 5
Easter Island
Half-Day tour to the Rano
Kao Volcano, whose deep crater contains a large fresh water lake. From
there, we will continue to the cultural centre of Orongo, situated at
the top of the crater at over 900 feet above sea level. Next, we will
proceed to Ana Kai Tangata, a cavern where the island people took refuge
during times of war. Here we will see many pre-historic paintings. We
will then visit Ahu Vinapu, where the interesting architecture resembles
the Inca civilization architecture due to the perfection of the stone
cuts.
Return to hotel and rest of day at leisure.

DAY 6
Easter Island
Half day tour to Ahu Akivi,
the big platform, which is composed of 7 Moai, all of them facing the
sea. The Ana Tepahu caverns and the quarry of Puna Pau, where the top
part of the Moai were sculpted named Pulkao, which means "typical
hairstyle" . Return to the hotel.
Rest of afternoon at leisure.
