12 Days / 11 Nights In this in-depth tour of central and south-eastern Mexico passing through Oaxaca, you will experience some of the country's most beautiful natural and cultural wonders. It is an intense journey across Mexico beginning in Mexico City, and ending in marvelous Cancun. DAY 1
Mexico City
Assistance at your arrival
to Mexico City Airport and transfer to your hotel. There you will
receive a briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services
included.

DAY 2
Mexico City
In the morning, we visit
Mexico City's Main Square: Zocalo, Cathedral, Government Palace, and
Diego Rivera's murals. We will continue to Reforma Avenue and
Chapultepec Park. Then we visit the world-renowned Anthropology Museum.
You may go back to the hotel or take a suggested optional tour to Xochimilco´s water canals.

DAY 3
Puebla / Oaxaca
Departure to Puebla, the
"City of Angels", visiting Santa Maria Tonantzintla, a temple gorgeously
decorated. On our arrival to Puebla we visit Rosario's Chapel, the
Cathedral, the Main Square and the Historical Downtown.
After having lunch, we continue on to Oaxaca.

DAY 4
Oaxaca
During the morning we visit
Monte Alban, a great archeological site built on a mountain top
flattened by the Zapotec people. Here we will find different culture
manifestations such as the Olmecs, Mixtecs and Zapotecs.
Later, we continue on to Mitla, one of the most enigmatic ruins in
Mexico. The buildings are decorated with intricate symbolic mosaics. On
the way we are going to find the Tule Tree, perhaps one of the biggest
living beings in the world. Returning to Oaxaca, we visit the beautiful
city, including the Cathedral, the magnificent Santo Domingo church and
the Gold Museum.

DAY 5
Tuxtla / Sumidero Canyon / San Cristobal
Early morning departure
(with boxed breakfast) to Tuxtla Gutierrez, capital city of the State of
Chiapas. You will enjoy the landscapes of the southern mountains.
Transfer by boat to Sumidero Canyon Park.
If time permits, we will
walk by the eco-tourist park, enjoy the swimming pool or the "Tyrolese".
Boat ride through the Sumidero Canyon. Passing through Chiapa de Corzo
on our way to San Cristobal de las Casas.

DAY 6
San Cristobal
We visit San Juan Chamula
and Zinacantan, typical Indian towns, where the people stay true to
their traditions, language, customs, beliefs as well as their social
structures. If we're lucky, we may witness traditional rituals.
Afternoon at your leisure. We recommend walking around this beautiful
city; you can visit the Market, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo church, and
the Jade museum to view King Pakal´s tomb replica.

DAY 7
Agua Azul / Palenque
We head to Agua Azul
waterfalls, to admire their turquoise colored waters. Here you will have
the possibility of swimming.
If the time permits it, we will make a short stop at the Misol-Ha
waterfall. We then continue on to Palenque where we will have dinner.

DAY 8
Palenque / Campeche
In the morning we visit the
archaeological site of Palenque, surrounded by thick jungle. One of the
most important sites of the "Mayan World". Inside the Pyramid of the
Inscriptions, you will find King Pakal's sarcophagus and its fascinating
carved gravestone. We will view the Sun Temple, the Cross Temple and the
Palace.
Lunch on your own, and we continue on to the beautiful walled city of
Campeche where we will have dinner.

DAY 9
Campeche / Uxmal / Merida
We make a short visit
through the city of Campeche and depart to Uxmal. We will visit this
archaeological site and its wonders: The Guesser Pyramid, the Quadrangle
of the Nuns, Governor's Palace, and the Ballgame Court.
Continuing on we depart to Merida, "the White City" to visit the city's
Montejo Avenue, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square, the
Cathedral, and the Government Palaces.

DAY 10
Chichen Itza / Cancun
We make an early departure
to Chichen Itza, the most important and amazing Mayan site in Mexico. We
will find advanced archeo-astronomic knowledge in this city. We visit
the pyramid known as the "The Castle" or Temple Kukulcan, the Ballgame
Court, the Skull and Jaguar temples, the Observatory, the One Thousand
Columns Square and the Sacred Well.
Then we head to the beautiful IK-IL well, or "Cenote", where we will be
able to swim. We continue to Cancun.
